Corby Town Welcome Football CV to The Rockingham Triangle
Corby Town FC are pleased to welcome Football CV to the Rockingham Triangle, subject to official confirmation from Corby Borough Council later this week. The UK's first private Academy also has a base at Rushden and Diamonds Nene Park and will be expanding its operation into Corby in the summer.
Football CV Managing Director and Corby director Graham Starmer added: “The opportunity to develop our Academy at a second venue in Northamptonshire will be very beneficial for all parties. Having access to two superb stadiums with such excellent training facilities will greatly help the development of the Academy players. We just need to dot the i's and cross the t's, which we are confident will be completed in the next few days.
“With the new stadium and the new board these are very exciting times for Corby Town Football Club and for the town itself. We are looking forward to maximising the opportunities that they bring to the benefit of the club.”
The Academy caters for football development and will also provide the opportunity to gain educational qualifications. The academy has already produced players into the professional game since it's inception in 2007.
Each week incorporates intensive football training, together with matches, as well as learning about other aspects of the game.
The Academy is of a residential nature with on-site accommodation, meals, student welfare and all transportation issues included and is highly supervised and run to a professional football club and college standard.
The football facilities include the use of a stadium pitch, a number of top-quality training pitches, an all-weather pitch, study centre, canteen and indoor facilities.
The Academy provides a two year course, the aim being to discover further talent following a period of intensive coaching designed to improve every individual's game.
The course will involve tuition from former professional players, managers and coaches. Just yesterday the current squad received a coaching session from Gordon Strachan. The Academy runs its own teams in National Leagues and plays friendlies against Premier League and Football League opposition.
All staff have the relevant qualifications and child protection policies. There are seminars, workshops, visits to football games, guest speakers including some of the big names in football, evening entertainment, team-building exercises and many other activities that are of benefit to your football development and make the course enjoyable.
If you feel you or your son has the ability, talent and desire to play the game professionally then the next two years at the FootballCV Academy could prove to be the most important two years of his life.
